Anastasia ‘Ana’ Tomko is a born and raised Berks County native. Starting her undergraduate at Reading Area Community College with an associate’s degree in Creative Writing, she has helped the greater Reading community with job search and resumes, as well as multiple job fairs. Continuing her undergraduate degree in communications, she studied Film, Culture and Creative Arts at Alvernia University. While there, she became the first Communications Fellow at Alvernia’s O’Pake Institute for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, where she aided in the first steps of 401 Penn Street, as well as other initiatives.
Upon graduation, she joined Haydenfilms Institute as a Creative Project Manager. While there, she aided film and nonprofit clients with social media and brand management. In 2022, she helped organize the Haydenfilms 1.0 Screenwriting Competition. Some of her past clients include Adirondack Film, Whistleblower Summit & Film Festival, The Camel Project, The Beauty Foundation for Cancer Care, and PKM Entertainment.
A screenwriter at heart, Ana has been writing fiction on the side since she started at RACC. In her free time, she is taking courses in Korean and Subtitling/Localization, with dreams of writing and directing Asian Dramas in the future.
