Regional Filmmaker Spotlight: FROM THE RIVER premieres June 2nd in Reading

ReadingFilm Office is pleased to present the premiere of FROM THE RIVER in collaboration with the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts’ First Friday event celebrating Reading’s 275th Anniversary on Friday, June 2, 8:30pm at Albert and Eunice Boscov Theatre, Goggleworks Center for the Arts, Reading.

Directed by local filmmaker, Tracy Schott, FROM THE RIVER is a documentary film exploring the rich history of Reading and Berks County. The film features the voices of people we rarely hear in history films, including heroes, villains, and everyday people who lived extraordinary lives. Just in time for the City of Reading’s 275th Anniversary, FROM THE RIVER is a 35-minute sprint through 350 years of history.

The filmmaker and some special guests will be present to answer audience questions following the film. This film is being presented as part of GoggleWorks’ First Friday Celebration of the anniversary of Reading. Reception and special events will be present prior to the film’s screening.
