Jared Hoffa

Jared Hoffa was born and raised in Womelsdorf, PA and began his career at NBC Universal’s “In the Loop with iVillage” as a producer, shooter and editor. For over 10 years, he continued his career at ABC 7 Chicago and WCIU-TV winning both Emmy and Telly awards for his work. His documentary work was first recognized in 2009 for “All We Had” the retelling of his family’s life and the tragedies caused by decisions made decades prior. The film was accepted at Marbella Film Festival and Cannes Short Film Corner the same year. Film critic Richard Roeper called the documentary, “VERY POWERFUL, HONEST, INSIGHTFUL AND WELL-MADE. A COUPLE OF TIMES I GOT THE CHILLS.” Jared’s career sits at the intersection of media and technology. In 2009, launching “Project Slasher” an interactive horror film and in 2015, “Gaming Under the Influence” the first ever interactive livestreaming gameshow that caught the attention of Sony, Hulu and Netflix. In 2018, his innovative tech was featured in Inc’s “Small Business Initiative.” Currently, Jared has turned his focus on supporting the film community. As co-founder of Pixquid he’s helped launch a decentralized marketplace for filmmakers to promote, sell, and distribute their movies without agents or gatekeepers.
