Michele Ruano-Weber is a Social Welfare graduate of Albright College, and she obtained her MA in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University. She is a certified psychosocial rehabilitation practitioner with over 40 years’ experience in human services. During this period, she practiced in child welfare, Child Welfare Support groups, Counseling, Juvenile Probation Community Youth Aid Panels, and Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities both in case management and supervisory positions. She is currently the Deputy Administrator for the Berks County Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Program. Her responsibilities include Program Development and Monitoring, lead for the Human Services Block Grant, and Co-Chairperson for the Berks County Suicide Prevention Task Force-RU OK Campaign. In addition, she is responsible for the deployment of Emergency Behavioral Health volunteers during disaster situations within the County. Ms. Ruano-Weber is a member of the United Way Community Impact Cabinet, the Berks Early Care and Education Council, as well as the Process Committee for the Children’s Alliance Center of Berks County. She has been recognized by NAMI as Professional of the Year, Community Youth Aid Panel Award as well as assisting child abuse Victims at the Children’s Alliance Center of Berks County.
