Sabrina McLaughlin grew up in Hazleton, PA and is an alumna of Wilkes University, Class of ’04. In 2007 she received her Masters Degree in literature and creative writing from Binghamton University in upstate New York. While in graduate school, she was assigned as a teaching assistant to interdisciplinary literary and film studies courses. In 2008 she transitioned to a career in politics and government and is currently employed as a Regional Representative for Senator John Fetterman in Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuylkill Counties. In her spare time she enjoys performing in community theater productions and is currently preparing for a role in Macbeth. She and her fiancé Kevin are avid cinephiles, frequently to be found attending events and screenings at The Mahoning Drive-in in Lehighton and The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville. She is looking forward to learning more about the film industry through working with the Reading Film Office and the Reading FilmFest.
