Carol and Carl Fisher started coming to the ReadingFilmFEST a few years back after seeing the events listed in the local paper. They were curious and it turned out the FEST really got them excited! Their favorite films trended towards documentaries like 2017’s “At The Drive In”, 2019’s “The Pollinators” and “Live The Stream”.
The Fishers were nearing retirement and were involved in other local arts events. They decided to inquire with Executive Director Cammie Harris about becoming jurors for the 2022 FEST. The answer was a resounding “Yes!”
As jurors, they were asked to watch three different films each. Two of their favorites last year were “Entangled”, a story of climate change and efforts to save the endangered North Atlantic right whale, and “Honk”, a heartwarming tale of a woman who befriends a goose.
According to Carol, “If I learn something new and walk away with another perspective, that’s a great film to me!”
Carol also participated and thoroughly enjoyed being a Moderator for the 2022 Mental Health block calling on decades as a mental health professional.
