Location Name Gring's Mill
Location Description Gring's Mill was a grist mill built along the Tulpehocken Creek by David Gring in 1811. The mill dam is a little ways upstream. The house was built in 1831. The barn was built in 1896. The pedestrian only girder bridge was built in 1931. Encompassing 33 acres, Gring’s Mill Recreation Area includes a number of hiking trails, six tennis courts, a softball field, an eighteen station exercise course, a sand volleyball court, and a children’s play area. A game court area features volleyball, quoits, and horseshoe pits.
