Evangelical Lutheran Friedens Church
Location Description
In 1898, the Gothic style Evangelical Lutheran Friedens Church was erected on the site of the original 1745 log church.
At the rear of the church lies the “Old Northkill Cemetery”, wherein rest the remains of about 70 settlers of the region. The dates of the graves extend from 1771-1854, and many of the gravestones are inscribed in German. 18 Revolutionary War soldiers and three patriots are buried here.
